Staff Picks and Recommendations

Bob's Pick:

2014 Le Figuier Rose (France)

A fresh, easy to drink rose from the iconic region for rose of Provence. A slug of Cabernet adds a hint of dusty tannin to the tradtitional grapes of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault. Aromas of strawberries and a touch of soft herbs like tarragon give way to refreshing, zingy flavors and a touch of chalkiness on the finish. A fabulous back-deck sipper for the dog days of summer!

Alex's Pick:

Maestro Dobel Diamante Reposado Tequila

This single estate 100% blue agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico is the first of its kind. Tequila of three different ages are hand-blended together: reposado (aged 15 months), anejo (aged 24 months), and extra anejo (aged 36 months). The result is a spectacular clear tequila encompassing upfront tasting notes of fresh agave and citrus to sweet vanilla and oak on the finish. Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or to make a delicious margarita that much better. A perfect companion for hot summer days by the pool.

Sam's Pick:

2014 Peju Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley)

Bright, lively and fresh with a pop of citrus flavors and hints of tropical fruit. Aromas of pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit and lychee burst out of the glass. Notes of lemon curd, green apple and apricot linger on the palate with fresh, clean finish and bracing minerality. It is a great refreshing wine to drink during the summer time.

Kevin's Pick:

2013 Killibinbin Langhorne Creek (Australia)

Killibinbin is rich and ripe with dark fruits of tar, tobacco, and spice. Finishes long, strong, and yet still well rounded and polished. This is my new 'everyday' drinker. WS=90 points
